Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate!

Pinterest really is the best place to go for ideas. Recipes, crafts, and just general cuteness: it’s all there! So I decided I was going to cook dinner tonight and had no clue as to what to cook, so I consulted the website. Of course I started with dessert, and found the most delectable and scrumptious looking recipe ever. Picture this: chocolate chip cookies, oreos, and brownies. All in one. Yes, all in one!

So here it is…

First, you must get the ingredients. These are actually pretty simple! You need Oreos, a chocolate chip cookie recipe, and a brownie recipe.

Here is an example, but you can pick the recipes that you like.

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
4 large eggs (2 for brownies and 2 for cookies)
1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12 ounces) milk chocolate chips
1 pkg Double Stuffed Oreos
1 Family Size (9Ɨ13) Brownie mix (you could also make them from scratch, if you want)
1/4 cup hot fudge topping (if you are truly daring!)

The first step is to make the cookie mix. You should follow your recipe, but here is the way I did it. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt into a small bowl. Mix the butter (lightly softened), the vanilla extract, the brown sugar, and the granulated sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing them all the way in. Once the second bowl is creamy, add the ingredients from the first bowl slowly. Then put the chocolate chips in. I don’t use very many, though.

Here is what it should look like.Image

Next, spread the cookie dough into a 9 x 13 pan that is greased. After it is even across the pan, place as many Oreos as you want to add. Make sure to eat one or two along the way šŸ™‚

After this is done, you should make the brownie mix. Mine called for just water and eggs. Very easy! Pour the mix over the Oreos and spread it evenly.

Time to bake!! Bake 350 for 30 minutes, covered with aluminum foil. Uncover it and bake for another 15 minutes.

Okay, it’s done! Take it out and let it cool for a while. Then serve! You can add ice cream, hot fudge, etc. However much chocolate you can take, you should add it.

And for dinner I made…Image

Spaghetti and mushrooms, with a caesar salad and dinner roll.

Happy eating!
